PBBers While driving home last night, I was listening to ESPN radio. The host, Doug Gottlieb, was talking about Eric Mangini's future (or lack thereof) with the Browns, and about the Browns-Bills game. He basically said he was stunned that he watched the game, and wondered why anyone who wasn't a Browns fan, or Bills fan would have watched the game. He summed more...
Another season ending winning streak?

PBBers, The Browns went on the road last Sunday and came home with a victory over the Miami Dolphins. The defense won the game by forcing 3 turnovers, the biggest of which came with a minute left. Ralph Brown, I mean Mike Adams, intercepted a ball deflected by David Bowensand ran it back to the Miami 2 yard line. Adams' play set up Phil Dawson's game more...

PBBers, Another exciting game ended in disappointment for the Browns Sunday against the Jets, when Eric Wright forgot to cover Santonio Holmes and then he, T.J. Ward and Eric Barton forgot how to tackle. Despite the loss, there we a couple encouraging things Browns fans can hang their hats on. Colt McCoy continues to prove he belongs in the NFL. He more...

PBBers, A great PBB turnout at Peter's was treated to a great afternoon as the Browns completely dominated the New England Patriots. Once again the Browns defense confused and shut down a Super Bowl winning quarterback. The offense was creative (see 'Brownie' - the play where Chansi Stuckey scored), but at the same time powerful and dominate as Peyton more...

For the third straight year the Cleveland Browns have defeated the defending Super Bowl champs. The Browns are just the 7th team in NFL history to beat the defending Super Bowl champs three years in a row. So, at least we have that going for us. David Bowens and the rest of the Browns defense completely dominated the Saints. The 'UFO' defense confused Drew Brees all more...

Joe Haden made his 1st interception, Colt McCoy threw his 1st touchdown pass, Phil Dawson is now the all time leading field goal kicker for the Browns, and the Browns still got destroyed by the Steelers. Yes the game was closer than the 28-10 final, yes the no class Steelers ran up the score by throwing the ball with a 21-10 lead with a minute left, yes one of the more...

Interesting week for the Browns - Joe Thomas sucked and got 2 QB's hurt in one game (well one hurt and one hurt worse than he was), Phil Dawson tied Lou Groza for the team record for FG's made, Jake Delhomme sucked worse than Joe Thomas, Peyton Hillis tried to gut through an injury, and they traded the only healthy RB on the team. Jerome Harrison was traded to Philly for more...

After three weeks of blowing 4th quarter leads, the Browns tried to do it again Sunday against the Bengals. Peyton Hillis and TJ Ward wouldn't let it happen. The Browns hung on to win 23-20. Hillis was an iron-man (on the field for all but 3 of the Browns offensive plays) and human wrecking ball, running over and through anyone in his way. He knocked 2 more...

[nggallery id=11] My weekly recap will be short and sweet this week. I was unable to watch the game with the exception of one stellar play. I made it to a TV just after the 2 minute warning, in time to see the Browns stuff the Ravens on 3rd down, get the ball back and go score the game-tying TD. Wait, what? That's not what happened? Oh right, instead 2 LB's jumped more...

With that performance against the Chiefs, the Browns have gotten off to another great start under Eric Mangini. The sad thing is, this team is 2-3 plays away from being 2-0, and not 0-2. The offense has given away the 2 games this season. By my calculation the Browns defense has given up only 16 points so far this year, while the offense is directly responsible for more...
